Selliah Creates is a digital portfolio of the First Year design projects completed in iBiomed at McMaster University. This website showcases the design process for each project, including the planning, important milestones and final deliverables.

DP-1

A unique patient case highlights concerns regarding an unfit commercial implant. Each team was required to:

1. Diagnose the patient
2. Design a custom hip implant
3. Create a solid model of the implant

DP-2

A system is required to transfer surgical tools to an autoclave for sterilization. Each team is required to:

1. Design a sterilization container
2. Create a computer program for operating the robotic arm

DP-3

Teams must design a prototype for a device related to home healthcare and independent living. Each team is required to:

1. Design a device
2. Create a computer program
3. Design a case for the raspberry pi and device

ABOUT ME

I am a first-year student in the iBiomed Program at McMaster University, interested in specializing in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering. My interests lie in both engineering and the health care industry, thus influencing my decision to pursue Biomedical Engineering. I hope to utilize my skills and knowledge to further study and influence the integration of engineering and medicine. Some areas of interest include artificial organs and implants, sustainability, and the integration of technology in medicine.

Outside of the classroom, I enjoy getting involved with my community and assisting in building a better environment for others. I have developed a passion for community outreach, and these experiences have allowed me to enhance many valuable skills including my ability to effectively communicate, lead, time manage, and problem solve.
